Green Critical Minerals (ASX:GCM) has announced the commencement of the Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) for the Ultra High Purity McIntosh Graphite Project.
The study contracts for both upstream and downstream have been awarded to GR Engineering, a leading engineering consulting firm with extensive experience in Graphite processing.
GR Engineering will focus on producing material for the lithium-ion battery industry and exploring avenues to preserve the high value coarse flake.
Green Critical Minerals says it's aiming to update the study with more recent cost bases, and significantly improve on the economics.
The Company is also looking at ways to reduce their carbon footprint throughout the production process, such as exploring the use of renewable energy sources.
