Attorneys representing Ryan Salame, previously an executive at FTX (CRYPTO:FTT), are advocating for an 18-month prison sentence, emphasising his cooperation with authorities and expressions of regret.

Despite his role at FTX and Alameda, where he managed various operational tasks, Salame's attorneys argue that he was not directly involved in the core fraudulent activities.

They highlight his proactive cooperation with authorities, genuine remorse, and personal struggles, along with significant losses suffered due to the collapse of the exchange.

Salame's legal team asserts that he played no part in defrauding customers and was misled by higher-ranking individuals, being the first to disclose fraudulent activities to Bahamian authorities.

Despite this, media scrutiny and his association with FTX's legacy could continue to impact his future opportunities, according to his attorneys.
