Recently, Sam “SBF” Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, was reportedly sentenced to 25 years in a federal prison, potentially located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This sentencing comes after his conviction on seven felony counts by Judge Lewis Kaplan of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Following his sentencing, Bankman-Fried communicated with news outlets via email from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has been incarcerated since August 2023.

In his response, he asserted he never believed his actions were illegal, expressing remorse for the consequences and insisting he never aimed to harm or defraud anyone.
