Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has reported a strong start to 2024, with a notable 7% increase in sales in the first quarter, outpacing the overall industry.

This surge is attributed to the robust demand for Ford's diversified lineup, including gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

The Ford Maverick hybrid truck alone saw a 77% increase in sales, contributing to the best-ever quarterly hybrid sales record for the company.

Additionally, Ford's strategy for hybrid vehicles continues to pay off, with a total of 38,421 hybrid vehicles sold in the first quarter, marking a 42% increase.

This growth is expected to sustain as the company ships more versions of the new F-150 hybrid to dealers.

In the electric vehicle (EV) sector, Ford also made significant strides, with an 86% increase in sales, positioning it as the second-best-selling EV brand in America, behind Tesla.

The Mustang Mach-E and the F-150 Lightning led this segment with impressive sales figures.

On the commercial side, the Ford Transit van achieved a record start to the year, further consolidating Ford's position as the leading truck manufacturer in the U.S.

With the launch of new models like the Explorer, Expedition, and Mustang Mach-E Rally, among others, Ford is confident in its growth trajectory and ability to offer customers a wide range of vehicle choices across different fuel technologies.
