First Au (ASX:FAU) has secured a drill rig for its Haunted Stream Gold Project, with drilling expected to begin in April.
The gold explorer is planning a program of 1,000-1,200m of diamond drilling to test the economic potential beneath historic workings and explore highly prospective structural target locations.
The Haunted Stream Project contains over 150 historical workings that produced gold from the 1860's up until the early 1900s, has an 8.5km strike length, and has the potential to be of significant scale.
The proposed targets are the historic Ernestine and Hibernia workings, with the targeting intended to test economic potential beneath the workings, as well as explore and test highly prospective structural target locations.
