Elon Musk hit out at advertisers who left his social platform, X (formerly Twitter), which is under scrutiny for hosting anti-Semitic content and misinformation.

The European Commission has launched formal proceedings against the platform, investigating content relating to terrorist group Hamas' attacks on Israel.

The commission is set to assess if X violated the Digital Services Act because of its response to misinformation and illegal content.

The investigation will also look at the platform's Community Notes and its policies aimed at preserving civic discourse and electoral processes.
