Equinox Resources is expanding its strategic rare earths exploration in Brazil by applying for approximately 850km2 of tenements in the Patos de Minas region, Minas Gerais State, under the newly defined "Mata da Corda" Rare Earths Project.
The move builds on Equinox's established stake in rare earth clays, increasing the company's total exploration footprint to around 2,550km2.
The company plans exploration activities, including drilling, upon the expected grant of tenements in the first quarter of 2024.
Equinox aims to conduct environmental assessments and initiate exploration activities in early 2024, funded partly by recent capital raising.
