Equinor (NYSE:EQNR) has successfully completed the first tranche of its 2024 share buy-back program.

The program, initially announced on February 7, 2024, with the aim of purchasing company shares, concluded with Equinor buying a total of 63,300 own shares at an average price of NOK 299.0639 per share as of April 2, 2024.

These transactions form part of a broader effort to return value to shareholders and optimally manage the company's capital structure.

The filing further reveals that, following the transactions, Equinor now holds a total of 76,167,892 of its own shares, equivalent to 2.54% of the company’s share capital.

This includes shares under Equinor’s share savings program, underlying the company's commitment to share buy-backs as a pivotal component of its value creation strategy.
