Washington-based water technology company Xylem (NYSE:XYL) announced Thursday its third-quarter net income of $217 million, equating to earnings of 89 cents per share.
When adjusted for one-time costs, the company reported earnings of $1.11 per share.
This aligned with the average estimate of $1.11 per share from seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research.
Xylem's third-quarter revenue totaled $2.1 billion, falling short of analysts' expectations of $2.18 billion.
The miss reflects a slight dip in the company's anticipated financial performance for the period.
Looking ahead, Xylem reaffirmed its full-year earnings guidance, projecting earnings per share in the range of $4.22 to $4.24.
The company also expects total revenue for the year to reach approximately $8.5 billion.
