    Thor Energy names new managing director

    Thor Energy (ASX:THR), headquartered in Perth, announced the appointment of Andrew Hume as managing director.

    With an illustrious 27-year career in the energy sector, Hume has held integral roles in multinational corporations, adding value through geoscience analysis, drilling, and asset management, among other accomplishments.

    Hume’s professional journey began at Thales Group, where he advanced to the role of Geosciences Manager, USA.

    His tenure at Shell and Murphy Oil Corp saw him making pivotal contributions to portfolio growth.

    At Maersk Oil and Gas and subsequently at TotalEnergies, Hume was instrumental in leading regional strategies and managing a multi-party decarbonisation project.

    Thor recently ventured into the natural hydrogen sector, highlighted by the acquisition of Go Exploration, placing it among the few holders of hydrogen licenses in South Australia.

    The company anticipates leveraging Hume's leadership and technical expertise in this emerging area.

    Hume's appointment aligns with Thor's focus on uranium, energy metals, hydrogen, and helium, which are pivotal to advancing a clean energy economy.

    At the time of reporting, Thor Energy's share price was $0.010.
