Encounter Resources initiated diamond drilling at Sandover, a sediment-hosted copper project in the Northern Territory, located 170km north of Alice Springs.

The drilling targets outcropping red-bed sandstone with extensive grey shale units containing copper oxide mineralisation.

Co-funded by the Northern Territory Government, 1-2 targeted stratigraphic diamond holes will be completed in November.

Sandover, situated in a major structural corridor of the Georgina Basin, exhibits promising evidence of sediment-hosted copper deposits.

The ongoing drill program aligns with Encounter's focus on discovering significant copper and critical mineral deposits in Australia.
