Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has indicated potential interest in accepting Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) as an official payment method for Tesla purchases.

This consideration arose after suggestions from Tesla factory employees and SpaceX visitors regarding the inclusion of Dogecoin as a viable payment option.

Musk affirmed this possibility during a public interaction at Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory on March 13 in response to a query from an audience member.

Following Musk's announcement, Dogecoin experienced a significant uptick in value, rising from $0.172 to $0.188, representing a 9.3% increase.

This market movement underscores Musk's influence over the cryptocurrency space and highlights the growing interest in integrating cryptocurrency into mainstream financial transactions, potentially reshaping consumer interactions with major brands like Tesla.
