Elon Musk's artificial intelligence venture, xAI, is set to launch its latest chatbot, Grok-1.5, on his social media platform X next week, the tech mogul announced via a post on X this Friday.

This new release aims to enhance the user experience with more sophisticated AI interactions.

Musk teased future developments, mentioning that "Grok 2 should exceed current AI on all metrics. In training now," signaling his ambition for xAI to lead in the competitive AI landscape.

Grok-1.5 represents an upgrade over its predecessor, Grok, and will initially be accessible to a select group of early testers and existing Grok users on X, as per xAI's statement on Thursday.

This announcement comes in the wake of Musk's decision to open-source Grok, which followed shortly after his lawsuit against Microsoft-backed OpenAI.

Musk accused OpenAI of diverging from its non-profit roots to pursue profit, a move that has sparked significant discussion in the tech community.
