Eastern Metals (ASX:EMS) has found high-grade rare earth elements (REE) in New South Wales, near the Currawalla mine shaft.

The company announced the end of a soil sampling program that used a portable XRF (pXRF) analyser and has mapped a zone of strong REE readings in the Currawalla mine.

Eastern Metals said it also found a possible circular or ring-like structure in the magnetics that runs to the north, west and south of the main magnetic anomaly.

Eastern Metals added it plans to begin an RC drilling program later this month to test the targets.
