E79 Gold Mines (ASX:E79) has announced a new phase of drilling for Target 3 at its Laverton South Gold Project.

The company says it will involve reverse circulation and aircore drilling, prompted by a similarity in gold mineralisation to the Granny Smith gold deposit.

E79 Gold Mines' Lake Yindana tenement is situated between Breaker Resources' (ASX:BRB) Lake Roe and Ramelius Resources' (ASX:RMS) Rebecca projects, and with the recent corporate consolidation in the region, it could drive further value with any future exploration success.

The company also higlighted results for a 3,000m Auger soil sampling program completed at the Jungar Flat project is pending, with the program successfully testing 30km of gold-prospective greenstone mapped out by a recent survey.
