Downer EDI (ASX:DOW) has signed an Interim Alliance Agreement for rebuilding critical infrastructure damaged by Cyclone Gabrielle on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island.
The alliance participants include Fulton Hogan, Higgins, Waka Kotahi, and KiwiRail.
The project will focus on restoring roads, bridges, and rail corridors in the Hawke's Bay and Tairawhiti regions.
Downer EDI's Group CEO, Peter Tompkins says the company was proud to be part of the recovery, which will reconnect communities and improve New Zealand's resilience to future extreme weather events.
