    Dow Jones closes down 0.5%, ASX futures down ahead of market open in Sydney

    Aug. 27 -- The Dow Jones fell 0.54% to finish the trading day down 192 points to close at 35,213 points.

    Earlier, markets in Europe were weaker as London's FTSE fell 0.35% while Germany's DAX finished the trading day lower, down 0.42%.

    Asian markets are set to open lower with ASX futures down 10 points (-0.14%) ahead of the open in Sydney.

    The Australian dollar is stronger against the major currencies and is buying 72.43 US cents.

    Gold is trading at US$1,795 per ounce with copper at US$4.237 per pound.

    WTI Crude oil is selling for US$67.88 per barrel while Brent oil is higher at US$70.54 per barrel.

    The spot iron ore gained 2.60%, trading at US$153.35 and one bitcoin is worth US$47,135 going into the Asian trading day.
