    Dow Jones closed up 1.5%, ASX futures down ahead of market open in Sydney

    • Dow Jones closes up 506.5 points (1.5%).
    • ASX futures trading lower with ASX set to fall 35 points (-0.48%).
    • Bitcoin is trading at US$45,000.

    The Dow Jones rose 1.5% to finish the trading day up 507 points to close at 34,765 points.

    Earlier, markets in Europe were mixed as London's FTSE fell -0.07% while Germany's DAX finished the trading day higher, up 0.88%.

    Asian markets are set to open lower with ASX futures down 35 points (-0.5%) ahead of the open in Sydney.

    The Australian dollar is stronger against the major currencies and is buying 73.03 US cents.

    WTI Crude oil is selling for US$1.04 per barrel while Brent oil is unchanged at US$1.07 per barrel.

    The spot iron ore price remains above US$200 per ton trading at US$103 and one bitcoin is worth US$44,841 going into the Asian trading day.
