Dow (NYSE:DOW) released its first quarter financial results for the year 2024, revealing a decrease in net sales and fluctuating operating earnings per share (EPS).
The company reported GAAP earnings per share of $0.73 and an operating EPS of $0.56, a slight dip from the $0.58 in the same period the previous year.
Net sales also fell by 9% year-over-year to $10.8 billion.
Despite the decline in sales and EPS, Dow observed a 1% increase in volume year-over-year, with performance materials and coatings and industrial intermediates & infrastructure sectors driving the sequential gains.
