International Graphite (ASX:IG6) progresses country's first graphite micronising plant

International Graphite (ASX:IG6) has released a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) to build and operate a nominal 4,000tpa graphite micronising facility in Collie, Western Australia.

The company says the plant would be one of the first of its kind in Australia, has been estimated to require a capital cost of $12.5M, and expected to be operational in Q3-2024.

International Graphite says the plant will generate early cashflow and build market recognition, credibility and operational skills in the milling phases of the future Battery Anode Material (BAM) production line.

Additionally, the DFS has shown the technical, financial and sales potential of the plant, with operating costs estimated at US$1,980 per tonne and current sales pricing exceeding US$3,000 per tonne.
