Dart Mining (ASX:DTM) has announced diamond drilling of lithium-caesium-tantalum bearing pegmatites will begin at its Dorchap project in Victoria, Australia, on March 24.

The program comprises of 3,000m of HQ diamond drilling across six pegmatite targets, all of which have shown lithium mineralisation in previous surface chip sampling.

Dart Mining has also its granted joint-venture partner, Sociedad QuĂmica y Minera (NYSE:SQM), the right to fund up to $12M for a 30% interest in the project.

Dart Mining geologists first identified the lithium prospectivity of pegmatite dykes in the Dorchap Range in 2016, and its Chairman, James Chirnside says the testing of the initial targets is the first step in a comprehensive evaluation of the swarm.
