Daily stock rockets & losers; Uniti Group soared 17% amid reports of acquisition talks with Morrison & Co.

Uniti Group is leading the stock rockets today, up almost 17% today so far before entering a trading half amid reports that infrastructure investor Morrison & Co is in talks to acquire Uniti in a deal reportedly worth $3.1bn.

Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals is up 5.5% following the release of positive preliminary results for the company?s pilot study in arterial ischaemic stroke.

And Healius rounds out the top three stock rockets today, up 4.2% after the company announced a share buy-back.

On the losing front, Chalice Mining leads the losers again today, down 13.3% as gold mining stocks take a hit today.

Champion Iron is trading almost 10% lower today.

And Zip Co is trading 8% lower after lunchtime.
