Cyclone Metals reported results from the initial phase of metallurgical test work for its flagship Block 103/Iron Bear Magnetite Iron Ore Project in Canada.

The blast furnace magnetite concentrate boasts 68.7% Fe, with low deleterious elements and silica below 3.5%.

Ongoing metallurgical tests aim to define a premium direct reduction magnetite concentrate with Fe of 70% and silica below 1.5%.

The metallurgical test work program, divided into four phases, is set to be completed by August 2024, with the first phase concluding by the end of December.
