Australian construction-materials manufacturer CSR (ASX:CSR) has reported net profit after tax of $225M in the year ending 31 March, a 17% increase on the previous year, whilst statutory net profit fell to $219M.

CSR says the boost to net profit after tax was attributed to a 20% growth in building products earnings, with EBIT standing at $273M.

EBIT for aluminium fell significantly from $40M to $8M, while property earnings saw EBIT rise to $72M.

CSR also declared a final dividend of 20.0 cents per share, bringing the full year dividend to 0.365 cents per share.
