The Token2049 conference in Singapore showcased major developments across the crypto landscape, featuring advancements in blockchain technology and collaborations in various industries.

Notable highlights included Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) creator Vitalik Buterin's creative presentation, strategic partnerships, and updates on cutting-edge Web3 technologies.

Buterin surprised attendees by delivering his speech in a musical format, focusing on Ethereum’s progress.

He emphasised the significant improvements in Layer-2 networks, which have reduced transaction fees and cut confirmation times to just 5-15 seconds.

Buterin reiterated the importance of maintaining Ethereum’s core values of decentralisation and open-source development while acknowledging competition with Bitcoin, which currently dominates the market.

One of the key partnerships announced at the event was Bitget’s collaboration with LaLiga, coinciding with the exchange’s sixth anniversary.

This partnership aims to combine blockchain technology with LaLiga’s ventures into artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the metaverse, focusing on connecting with football fans in emerging markets.

Solana(CRYPTO:SOL) Mobile also made waves by unveiling its second-generation Web3 smartphone, Seeker.

With over 140,000 presale units across 57 countries, the device is set to push Web3 mobile development forward.

Seeker features include a seed vault wallet and the Solana dApp Store 2.0, aiming to enhance the user experience in the Solana ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Chainlink (CRYPTO:LINK) co-founder Sergey Nazarov predicted that tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) will surpass cryptocurrencies in value.

He also emphasised the importance of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) in connecting various financial systems.
