Binance CEO Richard Teng met with Raymond Lam Cheuk Ho, Chief Superintendent of the Hong Kong Police Force's Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB), to enhance collaboration against financial crimes related to virtual assets.

The meeting focused on strengthening public-private collaboration to combat cyber threats and illicit activities within the blockchain ecosystem.

During the event, the Hong Kong Police Force presented Binance with a letter of appreciation and a commemorative plaque, recognising the company’s long-standing support and commitment.

The HKPF highlighted Binance’s contributions to solving complex cybercrime cases and ensuring the security of the industry.

Binance has been actively engaged with global law enforcement agencies by assisting in investigations and sharing expertise.

In one instance, the Hong Kong Police Force commended Binance for its assistance in dismantling a multi-million-dollar criminal syndicate involved in fraud and money laundering using virtual assets.

Binance representatives also met with the CSTCB to deepen bilateral efforts to combat financial and cybercrime.

Teng reaffirmed Binance’s dedication to maintaining security and compliance in the virtual asset industry.

"At Binance, we recognise the importance of working closely with law enforcement agencies to uphold the security and maintain the integrity of the virtual-asset industry," Teng stated.

Binance has also partnered with Hong Kong's Organised Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) for a law enforcement sharing session.

The OCTB invited Binance to participate in a law enforcement sharing session.

"We appreciate Binance’s dedication to fostering security and compliance in the crypto industry," a spokesperson from the OCTB remarked.
