The Australian market is following Wall Street?s lead from overnight to trade lower after midday as a sell-off in tech stocks weighs down the key index. Over the last few months Block shares have been falling which affects Afterpay as investors assess the dwindling value of Block?s all-scrip acquisition of Afterpay, from the original 39 billion dollars to now hold a value around 24.7 billion dollars. A spotlight on Critical Resources as the emerging base metal and critical minerals company is soaring more than 21% today after announcing the completion of its acquisition of the Mavis Lake lithium project in Ontario, Canada. Sony has revealed its upgraded PlayStation VR 2 headset at the CES conference for 2022, boasting 4K HDR, 110-degree field of view and new sensory features including 3D audio and eye-tracking capabilities.
