Cooper Energy reported progress in its operations, with over 70% completion of the BMG wells decommissioning program, meeting the mid-case cost guidance of $240-280 million.

The program, slated for completion in early May, entails plugging all seven wells to eliminate future environmental risks.

Cooper Energy is also assessing the installation of a third absorber at the Orbost Gas processing plant, which would bolster plant reliability and production rates.

The potential installation of a third absorber, estimated to cost under $30 million, remains pending.
