Coles Group is slashing prices on over 300 products in its meat, bakery, and pantry sections from April 3 to June 25, providing relief for struggling families.

The price reduction is driven by customer research showing increased home cooking and freezer meal usage.

Coles' chief commercial officer, Anna Croft, noted the price reductions on staples like coffee, laundry liquid, and canned vegetables, aiming to assist customers in saving while stocking up.

Coles and Woolworths (ASX:WOW) are being investigated for their pricing practices, though both deny allegations of price gouging.
