Catalina Resources (ASX:CTN) has completed follow-up sampling of anomalous air core composite samples at the Dundas project in Western Australia.
Samples containing the blue-green mineral are being studied using techniques like X-ray diffraction analysis to determine their composition and identity.
Assays indicate significant rare earth element (REE) intersections up to 16m thick and anomalous lithium intersections up to 44m thick.
The results support Catalina Resources' belief that Dundas will emerge as a significant asset in the underexplored Albany Fraser Belt, and the company expects to receive results from the 1m re-splits, XRD analysis, and ultra-fine soil sampling in 6-10 weeks.
