Cassius Mining's wholly-owned subsidiary in Ghana filed for international arbitration against the Government of the Republic of Ghana, seeking over US$275 million ($417.6 million) in damages, alleging contract and statute breaches.

In October, a three-person tribunal was formed to determine preliminary issues relating to its jurisdiction and arbitration seat.

The tribunal held a virtual hearing earlier in December.
