Japanese manga-inspired game Captain Tsubasa has made its debut on the Oasys (CRYPTO:OAS) blockchain, offering players 5,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as part of the gaming experience.

Developed by Mint Town, Co., Ltd., and BLOCKSMITH&Co., a subsidiary of KLab Inc., the game allows players to collect character NFTs from the original series.

Oasys, a decentralised blockchain gaming protocol with a dual-layer approach, hosts the immersive gaming environment where players can nurture and collect iconic characters like Tsubasa Ozora.

The move marks another significant addition to Oasys' blockchain, with major gaming publishers and institutional backers contributing to the growth of the platform.

Japan's interest in blockchain gaming, fueled by its cryptocurrency market and cultural practices, continues to drive growth in the web3 gaming sector, attracting significant VC investment in 2024.
