Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has completed its Q1 exploration program across the New England Granite, which has defined the new Salusa prospect in the southeast corner.

Results from 23 of 27 reverse circulation drill holes, testing the eastern margin of the NEG, highlighted continuous mineralisation along the northwest-trending intrusive contact.

Intercepts include 2m at 9.4g/t Au and 14m at 0.8g/t Au.

The results are consistent with the earlier Siona gold discovery, demonstrating similar mineralisation patterns.

Infill gravity surveys have refined the structural interpretation of the NEG margin, revealing new targets for future exploration.

Heritage surveys have commenced across the Caladan and NEG target areas, with air-core drilling at Caladan scheduled to begin in May.

This program will test an 8km strike of the Caladan fold structure.

The company is also reviewing options for the Gordons Gold and Mt McClure Gold Projects following increasing interest in WA gold projects.

Yandal Resources remains focused on advancing the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project.

The review of these non-core assets will determine the next steps for potential divestments.

Managing Director Chris Oorschot commented that the drilling confirms continuous mineralisation at the Salusa prospect and the potential for further exploration across the NEG.
