WIN Metals reported findings from its recent reconnaissance field trip to the Butchers Creek Gold Project, including a rock chip sample with a high-grade gold concentration of 22.4g/t.
The field trip, conducted in July, aims to assess the project's prospectivity, land access, and logistics for future fieldwork.
Results from the field reconnaissance include solid gold values from several prospects: 22.4g/t Au at Mt Bradley, 17.1g/t Au at Brockman King, 8.69g/t Au at Afghan, and 1.65g/t Au at Goliath.
The findings have affirmed the exploration potential of the area with the discovery of numerous rock chip samples exceeding 1.0g/t Au.
In a statement, Steve Norregaard, Managing Director and CEO of WIN Metals, said, "The sleeves are rolled up and momentum established. The geological team have had instant results confirming the exploration pedigree of the Butchers Creek Gold Project."
"This work augurs well for upcoming drilling activities and heralds the beginning of an exciting new era for WIN Metals."
The Butchers Creek Project is located 30km southeast of Halls Creek in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, accessible via the unsealed Duncan Road.
During the field trip, the team collected 29 rock chip samples and 105 soil samples from key prospects, including Mt Bradley, Phoenix, Goliath, Brockman King, and Afghan.
Butchers Creek is situated within the Halls Creek Orogen and consists of paleoproterozoic sediments, volcanics, and intrusive rocks.
The high-grade gold values confirm the presence of gold mineralisation and will guide future drill target development by WIN Metals' exploration team.
At the time of reporting, WIN Metals’ share price was $0.035.
