Riversgold has announced the results from its latest round of shallow drilling at the Northern Zone Gold Project, situated only 25km east of Kalgoorlie.

Among the highlights is the highest grade interval reported to date: an impressive 27.5 g/t gold from hole NZAC033.

Shallow gold intercepts include 16m at 4.69 g/t Au from 30m (NZAC033) and 4m at 6.9 g/t Au from 39m (NZAC029).

"These latest gold results are very exciting for this Project and it is great to be able to back up our initial results," said David Lenigas, executive chairman of Riversgold.

"These results have exceeded our initial expectations and indicate that we have very significant shallow supergene and oxide gold mineralisation," he added.

Riversgold completed a further 1,903m of aircore drilling targeting the shallow gold mineralisation in the oxide zone above the mineralised porphyry system.

The company plans to continue with further infill and step-out drilling.

The Northern Zone Gold Project boasts an exploration target of 200 to 250 million tonnes at a grade of 0.4 g/t to 0.6 g/t Au, translating to 2.5 to 4.8 million ounces of gold.

Riversgold is an Australia-based exploration company focused on discovering and developing large lithium systems in the Pilbara and Yilgarn cratons of Western Australia.

Its projects include Pilbara Lithium Projects, Southern Cross-Marvel Loch Lithium Project, Kurnalpi Region Projects, and South Australian Projects.

At the time of reporting, Riversgold’s share price was $0.005.
