Prodigy Gold has commenced drilling activities for the 2024 field season at the Hyperion deposit, situated within the Tanami North Project.
Delayed access due to the northern Australia wet season and drill rig availability caused a later start than usual this year.
The program aims to evaluate and potentially expand the 407,000-ounce Hyperion mineral resource updated in July.
In addition to Hyperion, the Brokenwood and Pandora prospects will also be drilled later this season. "With the recently updated Hyperion mineral resource, the company is excited to continue drilling at the Hyperion Deposit to infill areas to improve confidence in the Mineral Resource estimation," said Mark Edwards, managing director of Prodigy Gold.
Approximately 1,300m of reverse circulation drilling is planned at Hyperion.
This includes thirteen holes designed to infill areas and re-drill historical aircore holes for future resource estimations, as well as obtain samples for metallurgical testing from other deposit areas.
The drilling program for the Brokenwood and Pandora prospects will commence following the Hyperion program, involving around 600m in five holes.
Results from the endeavours are anticipated to be announced within four to six weeks after sample submission.
