Chilwa Minerals has received assay results from batch 2b of its ongoing sonic drill program at the Mposa deposit in southeast Malawi, part of the Chilwa Project.

The 46 sonic drill holes covering 445.30m have yielded high-grade results, highlighting the potential of the project.

Key high-grade findings include 6m @ 21.9% THM from the surface, and 5m @ 30.8% THM from the surface, among other notable intersections.

The results indicate the presence of high-grade mineral sands over a linear 1500m strike length, confirming the continuity of mineralisation.

Chilwa's Managing Director, Cadell Buss, stated, "The drilling to date at Mposa has defined a relatively uniform mineralised zone that has now been tested over,1,500m in strike length of the assays reported to date. The results to date show a much more continuous mineralised trend, with mineralisation defined over 150m cross strike distance."

Currently, additional results from a third batch of samples are pending, which are at the ALS laboratory in Perth.

The ongoing drill program is part of a 17,000m campaign designed to enhance the existing mineral resource estimate of 61.6Mt at 3.9% THM.

The consistent and predictable nature of the higher-grade zones gives the company confidence in the next stages of mineral resource estimation.

Chilwa Minerals is an ASX-listed firm engaged in mining exploration. The company owns 100% of the mineral sands and rare earths at the Lake Chilwa precinct.
