Buru Energy (ASX:BRU) Ungani Oilfield flooding update

Buru Energy (ASX:BRU) provided an update on their operations at the Ungani Production Facility (UPF) which is situated approximately 100km east of Broome.

The UPF and access road sustained minor flooding and no damage to plant or equipment.

However, the oil transportation road route to the export facility at Wyndham Port was cut off due to structural damage to the bridge at Fitzroy Crossing and the Willare Bridge being affected by floodwaters.

Buru expects oil production to be impacted due to the restoration of river crossing infrastructure taking several months and alternate oil transportation routes being subeconomic.

Buru is providing appropriate assistance to the communities impacted by the weather system and is working with government, industry, and supply chain partners to understand what logistics options are available to safely and economically take Ungani oil to market.
