Burgundy Diamond Mines has begun targeted mine life extension drilling at the Misery underground mine in Calgary, Alberta.

The Misery mine historically yields approximately 1.1 million tonnes of ore annually, generating about US$235 million ($350 million) in production value.

Preliminary assessments indicate the ore body is larger than initially modelled, with new drilling targets identified vertically and laterally.

A 30,000-tonne bulk sample will be collected from the Southwest extension target in the fourth quarter to assess grade and pricing data.

Results from the Main ore body drilling are expected by late 2024, with Southwest extension findings anticipated in early 2025.
