Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) has struggled to maintain its recent gains, slipping back below the $61,000 mark amid renewed market volatility.

After briefly touching $62,400, BTC failed to sustain its upward momentum and retraced to just under $61,000.

The broader cryptocurrency market mirrors this downturn, with major altcoins like DOT (CRYPTO:DOT), ADA (CRYPTO:ADA), SHIB (CRYPTO:SHIB), and others experiencing losses of over 3% in the past day.

Meanwhile, the total crypto market cap has decreased by more than $30 billion overnight, now standing at $2.365 trillion.
