Blue Star Helium announced the spudding of the State 16 SWSE 3054 well at its Galactica Project in Las Animas County, Colorado.

The venture is part of the company's initiative to develop low-cost, high-grade helium in North America.

The drilling is expected to reach total depth within five to seven days, followed by wireline logging and the Lyons helium reservoir testing.

The shallow conductor section has been completed to 38 feet, with casing cemented.

Drilling will continue through the intermediate section to the upper Lyons gas reservoir, where the well's total depth will be reached.
