Bitfarms Ltd. has doubled its power capacity at the Yguazu site in Paraguay to 200 megawatts by amending its Power Purchase Agreement with state-owned utility ANDE.

Scheduled for deployment in 2025, this additional 100 megawatts of sustainable hydropower will be supplied at approximately 3.9 cents per kWh, offering a significant growth path without affecting the company's 2024 targets.

Construction, which began in March, includes major equipment and infrastructure updates to accommodate the expansion.

This development is expected to boost Bitfarms' 2025 megawatts under management by 23%, leveraging cost efficiencies and rapid construction timelines in Paraguay.

Bitfarms continues to expand its global footprint, emphasising sustainable energy solutions.
