Bitdeer Technologies Group has announced a significant expansion in partnership with the Monroe County Port Authority, securing an additional 570 megawatts (MW) of power capacity at the Hannibal Industrial Park in Ohio.

This lease agreement, spanning 30 years, aims to bolster Bitdeer's global capacity to 2.5 gigawatts (GW).

The site, formerly an aluminum processing facility, offers robust existing infrastructure and utility capabilities suitable for large-scale operations.

The first phase of the project, delivering 266 MW, is set to be operational by Q3 2025, with plans underway for the remaining 304 MW.

Bitdeer views this expansion as crucial for supporting its growth ambitions in Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) mining, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI), positioning itself strategically in the competitive technology sector.
