    Bitcoin's $1.4 billion options expiry and market implications

    Around 33,000 Bitcoin options contracts, worth $1.4 billion, are set to expire on December 8, slightly more than last week's expiry.

    The current put/call ratio is 0.84, indicating a marginal dominance of call sellers, with a max pain price around $36,000.

    Total open interest in Bitcoin contracts is nearing record levels at $16 billion, as per Deribit data.

    Ethereum options are also experiencing significant activity, with around 207,000 contracts worth $491 million expiring, showing a put/call ratio of 0.58.
