Job vacancies in Australia fell to 364,000 in February, down by 24,000 from November 2023, according to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

This marks a 6.1% decrease since November 2023 and the seventh consecutive quarterly decline.

Job vacancies remain 59.8% higher than in February 2020, with some sectors, like rental, hiring, and real estate, experiencing growth.

Industries such as arts and recreation services, public administration, and safety saw significant declines. Job vacancies dropped across public and private sectors by 6.1%, with notable decreases in Queensland and New South Wales at 11.1% and 10%, respectively.
