Australia's private sector credit increased by 0.4% in December 2023, according to the Reserve Bank of Australia, maintaining the same growth rate as in November 2023.
Annually, private sector credit saw a 4.8% gain.
Housing credit rose by 0.4% on a monthly basis and 4.1% annually, personal credit decreased by 0.1% monthly but increased by 1.2% yearly, and business credit grew by 0.5% monthly and 6.6% yearly.
Broad money saw a monthly increase of 0.7% and an annual growth of 4.9%.
