AustChina Holdings commenced its debut drill program at the Chenene Lithium Project in Tanzania, slated to begin within seven to ten days.

The company has enlisted a drilling contractor and is finalising negotiations with a South African geological firm to oversee on-site operations.

Four exploration targets have been identified, supported by rock chip assays indicating up to 1.08% Li2O. Initial drilling will encompass eight holes, with potential for expansion.

The initiative forms part of AustChina's due diligence in acquiring four licenses from Cassius Mining (ASX:CMD). Drill results are anticipated within a 60-day examination period.
