Australian mining company Aurumin (ASX:AUN) is set to commence lithium drilling at its Mt Palmer site, southeast of Southern Cross in Western Australia.

The company said it aims to create four diamond drill holes, targeting locations with similar geological compositions to the Mt Holland lithium deposit 65km to the south.

It also said the project has received $150K in financial support from the Western Australian State Government initiative Exploration Incentive Scheme for drilling costs.

Aurumin's share price closed up 4% today.
