Aurora Energy Metals completed a scoping study for its flagship Aurora Uranium Project in southeast Oregon, USA.

The study confirmed the technical and economic viability of developing the USA's largest measured uranium deposit, projecting an 11-year mine life producing 1.15Mlbs of U3O8 annually.

The study outlines a pre-production capital expenditure of US$161 million ($248 million) and low cash operating costs of US$46.10/lb U3O8.

Planned developments include mining operations in Oregon, with processing on company-owned land in Nevada to optimise permitting and leverage existing infrastructure.

Aurora Energy Metals plans additional drilling and environmental studies to refine project parameters and economics.
