The Australian market closed at its highest level on record to start the week, gaining 1.3% to finish the session at 7172.8. The ASX was boosted by a surge for iron ore miners and soaring commodity prices.
The tech sector finished the session more than 1% higher as a 6% gain for Nearmap and more than 3% gains for EML Payments and Codan, boosted the sector.
